You will want to level up your cards to be able to score more when playing, or simply to upgrade to a higher Grade of a Performance Card you own. You can do this by adding EXP to your Performance Card.

Ways to access the EXP Up interface

Once you’re in the EXP Up section, by default the first option you see is to sacrifice cards you already own to give EXP to your card. Simply tap on the cards you wish to sacrifice. Cards selected will be highlighted dark. Once you’re ready, tap on the “Exp Up” button on the bottom-right. Note that it will consume some amount of gold.

The second option is to use EXP Cards. Simply tap on the “EXP Card” button and you’ll be met by the new section. Now, you can select how many EXP Cards you want to use.

Note that this will consume some gold.

Artist/Theme EXP Up bonus

When you’re adding EXP using Performance Cards, you can get an EXP Boost bonus for using a card from the same artist or same theme.

You may have noticed an X2 or X4 written near the cards. This is what it refers to.

Here’s how it works:

<aside> 💡 You should use this bonus as much as you can because the boost does not increase the amount of gold you’ll need to EXP Up, meaning, you’d be saving gold as well.

<aside> 💡 During limited-time double EXP events, you gain an additional x2 multiplier for every card, so look out for them!
