The most optimal way to earn gold is through events like anniversary stages or Extreme event or AFD event, etc.
An Anniversary Chapter Stage gives you 13500 Gold in total. Try to finish the last 2 levels too, as they will give you 3000 gold each - they’re the hardest songs in the Quest, but the most rewarding.
Extreme event gives you more than 50,000 Gold if you finish all quests.
The FX Theme Roulette that comes once every 2 months has a chance to reward you with 100,000 Gold or 500,000 Gold, but the chances are very slim and not reliable.
Apart from these events, you can always play a lot of songs to grind Coins. Try to play the shortest songs in super hard mode. You get 500 Gold for clearing a Super Hard song Full Mode.

The only way to stack up Gems is to regularly log in and play songs. You can’t just magically gain 1000 Gems in 5 minutes, you gotta grind for it - whether be it through logging in every day, or by playing a lot of songs for Music Challenge Rewards.
The daily, weekly and monthly tasks give you 20, 50 and 250 Gems, respectively. Completing these tasks throughout a month would mean you’d get 750 gems per month.
Monthly Attendance also gives you 60 gems for logging on for 22 days in a month.
Don’t miss out on Special events (1-Day-1-Play etc.), Idol Birthdays, Group and Fandom Anniversaries’ 7-day logins, they all give you around 100-200 gems each.
Music Challenge Rewards when playing in Studio rewards you with gems. This is the fastest way to earn gems, given you have good cards and good skills.
You will only get Gems for playing a song once per challenge. If the challenge is pink, it means that it has already been claimed (Look at the pinked out ones in the screenshot).
The highest Gems you can earn is by having an EX score and getting at least All Excellent in the song.
The tasks are different for each difficulty of a song, so, try to play all difficulties of a song and complete at least the bottom half of the challenges. Playing a song 50 times is not worth it.
Invest in a full FX set or better cards so that you at least have an EX score in the group - this is hard to achieve but rewarding in the long run.
The fastest way to earn collection tickets is by upgrading cards to UR60. You get 125 Collection Tickets by finishing Card Mission of a single card.
I collected this by “Collect All” in the Collection Book - Theme page, instead of claiming the rewards one by one in the Cards Mission page
This means that upgrading one card for each SEVENTEEN member would give you 120 * 7 = 840 SEVENTEEN Collection Tickets, or 600 Tickets for TXT, LE SSERAFIM and NewJeans.
FX Events also reward you with a lot of Collection Tickets. Keep an eye out on which tasks give you Collection Tickets.
